Read down the middle column and the machinery shows itself. From thirteen upward, you take the unit number, three, four, five, and so on, and pin the word 'ashar for ten onto the end of it. Look at the relationship. Thirty is thalaath, from the three family, plus -uun. Sixty is sitt, from six, plus -uun. Ninety is tis', from nine, plus -uun. The one to watch is twenty, 'ishruun, which does not come from the word for two. It has its own root, so it needs to be memorised as a standalone rather than derived. Every other ten from thirty to ninety follows the unit-plus-ending pattern faithfully.
That -uun ending has a variant you will hear, -iin, depending on the grammatical role the number plays in a sentence. Read that column of structures and the rule is unmistakable: unit, then "and," then ten, every single time. Once you own the units one to nine and the tens twenty to ninety, you can generate all seventy-two of the numbers between them without learning anything new. There is no separate word for forty-seven to memorise. You assemble it on the spot from parts you already have. That is a lot of coverage from a very small set of pieces.

Two hundred, mi'ataan, uses a special ending Arabic keeps for pairs of things, called the dual. Arabic marks "exactly two" of something with its own form rather than just using the number twice, and two hundred rides on that dual. The word for million, milyuun, is one you will recognise, because it is a shared international word with roots most European languages also carry.
