Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data SPAIKING collects, why, and what control you have. SPAIKING is operated by Four Cents ("we", "us", "Four Cents"). We keep data collection to what we need to run the Service and help you learn.

1. Data we collect

2. How we use your data

To run the Service, give you feedback, and save your progress.
To manage your account and subscription.
To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
To improve lessons and the coaching experience.
To contact you about your account, and, if you opt in, about learning reminders and updates.

3. Voice data

When you have a live conversation, your speech is processed so the coach can understand you and respond with feedback. We use this to give you real time help. We do not sell your voice recordings. You can delete your account and associated data at any time.

4. Service providers we share with

We use a small number of trusted providers to run SPAIKING. They only receive what they need for their task and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes:

AI processing: to generate conversation and feedback, the text of your practice is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing.
Payments: Stripe processes subscriptions and card details. We never see or store your full card number.
Email: we send account and, if you opt in, learning emails through an email provider.
Hosting: our servers run on a cloud hosting provider.

5. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our systems, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

6. Security

We protect your data with reasonable technical and organisational measures. Passwords are stored using strong hashing, connections are encrypted, and access to data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and data yourself from your account page, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

8. Children

SPAIKING is not directed at children under the age where consent is required in their country without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to run core features. We do not use them to track you across other websites.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
