SPAIKING is an AI speaking tutor app made by Four Cents. You talk out loud with an AI tutor in the language you are learning, and it answers you, corrects your grammar and scores your pronunciation while the conversation is still going. The name is pronounced like "speaking", with the AI in the middle.
Most people who study a language for years can read it, recognise it and pass a written test in it, and still freeze when someone speaks to them. The missing piece is almost always the same: hours of actual speaking, with someone who notices your mistakes. Human tutors are the gold standard, but they cost money per hour and need a fixed appointment. SPAIKING gives you that practice partner on demand, for five minutes on a bus or thirty minutes at night.
There are 21 practice languages, including Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Arabic and Hindi. You can try it free, and paid plans start at $9.99 a month. Details are on the pricing page.
SPAIKING is designed, built and run by Four Cents, an independent software company that makes mobile apps. The same small team writes the app, runs the servers, answers support email and writes the guides on this site. There is no outside investor and no ad network; the product is paid for by subscriptions.
The tutor's understanding of your speech and its replies are produced by large language and speech models from OpenAI, which we call from our own servers. Your voice and messages are sent to that provider to generate the tutor's response, as our privacy policy explains in detail. AI tutors are good at patient, unlimited conversation practice. They can still make mistakes, especially with rare words, regional slang and very subtle pronunciation, so treat the feedback as a strong practice partner rather than a final authority.
The blog and phrase guides exist to help you speak, whether or not you use the app. Our rules for them are simple:
Support, feedback, corrections or press. A real person reads every message.
